A raw, un-dyed and sustainably produced cleansing cloth made out of a weave of peace silk and organic cotton. The cleansing cloth has a bespoke weave that effortlessly lifts and sweeps away dead skin cells, dirt and makeup. Super-soft, long-lasting and generously sized, this cloth is suitable for most skin types, including those with acne-prone or sensitive skin.

The silk and cotton weave is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

Machine washable, quick drying - especially when compared to traditional cotton muslins and flannels.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Start by applying your cleanser with clean hands to the face. When ready to remove, soak and wring out the cloth with warm water. With the cloth draped over your hand, gently rotate your index and middle fingers to remove dead skin cells, makeup and dirt.

Rinse your face with warm water.

Composed of 70% peace silk and 30% organic cotton

Made in Assam, Northeast India, eri silk (also known as peace silk) has a unique fine, durable texture with a subtle sheen. Eri is a unique form of silk because it is extracted using completely non-violent methods. For this reason it is often worn by buddhist monks in countries including India, Bhutan, Nepal and Japan.

Created from the empty cocoons of the wild samia ricini silk moth, which feeds on organic castor leaves, its offspring leaves the cocoon before the cocoons are harvested and spun. This ensures that the silk moth is not harmed and its lifecycle is not disrupted.

Nourishing. Relieving. Soothing. Effective. All words used to describe the incredible range of products developed by sister duo, Libby and Josephine Banks. In 2020, the sisters' personal experience with dermatitis and eczema led to the creation of The Seated Queen. The minimal edit is an ode to Cassiopea, a star constellation in the northern sky and a Greek mythology queen. For Libby and Josephine, the word ‘queen’ exists beyond the confines of gender, instead it represents a state of mind and a way of doing. The brand actively celebrates diversity, and promotes humanity and inclusivity in all they do - and that's queen behaviour in our eyes.
